What are Cambodian?

Cambodian (Psilocybe cubensis var. Cambodiescens) is a tropical cubensis variety known for its rapid colonization, consistent growth, and medium-sized to large mushrooms with caramel-to-golden brown caps. The stem is particularly forgiving and often produces early pinheads, making it excellent for beginners.

The effects are energetic, clear and visual, with a philosophical and social vibe. Less intense than some stronger strains, but with enough depth for a beautiful experience. A 1200 cc kit yields an average of 300–400 grams of fresh mushrooms over 2–3 flushes at 20–25 °C. Store the kit cool (2–4 °C) until use for optimal shelf life (up to approximately 6 months).

History of Cambodian

The Cambodian tribe was discovered near the iconic Angkor Wat temples in Siem Reap, Cambodia, by ethnomycologist John W. Allen. In this tropical, humid environment, the mushrooms grow naturally on the dung of grazing animals.

Traditionally, similar mushrooms played a role in local spiritual and cultural practices. Due to rapid growth, high resistance to contamination, and reliable yield, the strain quickly became popular among growers worldwide. Modern ready-to-grow kits make it possible to easily grow this Asian genetics at home, while retaining the characteristic fast and powerful properties.

How do you use Cambodian?

Growing is simple and very beginner-friendly. Wash your hands thoroughly, clean the outside of the kit and fill it with lukewarm water (20 °C). Soak for a maximum of 5 minutes (never longer than 1 hour). Drain well, place the kit in the grow bag, add 200–250 ml of lukewarm water and seal with the paperclips.

Place the bag in a place of 20–25 °C, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep the bag closed until the first pinheads appear (often within 10 days). Air the bag daily and mist lightly. Harvest just before the veil beneath the cap breaks by gently turning and pulling out the mushroom completely. Repeat the process for subsequent flushes.

For consumption: start low (cubensis dosage).

• Light trip: ± 1 g dried
• Normal trip: 1.5–2.5 g
• Stronger trip: 2.5–3.5 g

Ingredients of Cambodian

The cultivation kit includes a fully colonized substrate (nutrient-rich, based on grains, vermiculite and perlite), a cultivation bag with air filters and paper clips. The mycelium has been selected for the classic Cambodian genetics. No artificial additives. The mushrooms naturally produce psilocybin and psilocin.
