Growkits are readily available for purchase in smartshops and online stores in the Netherlands. However, there is still a lot of uncertainty. Can you have a growkit? And what does the law say about the mushrooms that grow from it? In this article, we’ll summarize it for you.

A growkit is a container with a nutrient medium in which mycelium grows. Mycelium is the fungal network from which mushrooms are formed. There are growkits for edible mushrooms, such as oyster mushrooms and shiitake, and growkits for psilocybin mushrooms.

Since December 1st, 2008, mushrooms have been placed on List II of the Opium Act. This applies to fresh and dried mushrooms. The possession, sale, and trade in mushrooms are therefore prohibited.

Growkits themselves are not subject to that ban, because mycelium is not a mushroom. Therefore, they are openly sold in the Netherlands. But the mushrooms that grow from a growkit are indeed mushrooms within the meaning of the law. That makes it a gray area that you need to be aware of.

Magic truffles contain the same active substances as magic mushrooms, but are not subject to the ban on magic mushrooms. They are legal for purchase in the Netherlands for anyone over 18 years of age. If you want to be sure that you stay within the rules, then magic truffles The clear choice.

Outside the Netherlands, different rules apply. In many countries, growkits for psilocybin mushrooms are prohibited, as are spores and mycelium. Never take a growkit, spores, or truffles across the border and do not order them from abroad.

Is buying a growkit legal? Are his tracks legal? What is the legal alternative? Where can I go for questions about safety? Then choose magic truffles or microdosing products.
